A quick weekend in Denver

September 19-21:  My sister Paige was spending some time in Denver with her in laws and was going to come to Portland and visit me afterwards.  She didn't want to fly with baby Remy all by herself so I flew out to Denver, hung out for about 48 hours and then flew back to Portland with Paige and little Remy.  The added bonus was that my sister DeNae and her little boy Owen were also in Denver for the weekend so we all got to hang out for a few days.  It was so much fun being with two of my sisters.  We stayed up both nights WAY too late talking and laughing.  We spent a day in downtown Denver walking around and even had the chance to visit the Denver Oktoberfest (not really that awesome but I did get some yummy sausage and kraut!)  It was a quick but very fun trip.

The first night we went out to eat at The Buckhorn Exchange which says it's the oldest restaurant in Denver (opened in 1893).  We had to try the Rocky Mountain Oysters.  Pretty chewy but not very flavorful...you just can't really think about what you're eating.

Little Owen was such a cutie.  People kept stopping us on the street to tell us how cute both these babies were:)
