I went to a German restaurant to discuss the book "The House by the Lake" written by Thomas Harding. The is my traveling book club group so we usually read a book and then meet somewhere fun to discuss the book.

I hosted another book club for "River of Doubt" which was a story about Theodor Roosevelt's exploration in the Amazon jungle.

Everyone loved the "piranha" fish I made for the book club treat:)

Took Julian and his friends (Ian Powell and Jacob Greathouse) to our annual Great Wolf Lodge getaway.  This may be the last time we go because these kids are getting a bit too old for this waterpark, but I think everyone had a fun time!

Thanksgiving at Mt. Hood.  We had a wonderful weekend on the mountain and it even snowed one night so we got to hang out in the hot tub with the snow falling all around...magic.

It's so fun when we get snow during our Thanksgiving adventures.

Hyrum made some German stollen Christmas cake.  We added bits of marzipan and it was delicious!

Hillsboro got a tiny dusting of snow on the last day of November.  It's so fun to get even just a tiny bit of snow!

 

Maui, Hawaii

 Hyrum and I went to Maui for his annual CME conference.  I'm not sure how many times I have been to Maui but I know it has been a lot so this time we just decided to relax on the beach, eat good food and enjoy our vacation.  We did something fun every day but it wasn't our normal running around trying to fit in 10 things a day to see it all.  It was a nice trip.

Goodbye Maui!  We didn't have a million crazy adventures this week but we certainly enjoyed a relaxing vacation:)
