Happy May

May 1st 2019...Happy 20th Wedding Anniversary!  Hyrum is always so sweet to remember to get me a card and some flowers and chocolate for our anniversary.  Our 20 years together have not always been the easiest or best years but I'm proud of us for sticking it out together:)

My May started off with a trip to Vegas to see these cuties.  I spent the week helping Paige unpack and get her house together after her move.  And, of course, I snuggled babies and was in total heaven the whole time:)

Seriously...so cute!

The joys of putting together IKEA furniture!  I was proud of us that we got the toy room all organized in one week!

Remy and I spent a whole afternoon putting together these lego sets, he is such a cutie!

I hated saying goodbye to these boys, I sure love my twin nephews.  They are such a fun age!!

Hyrum went to Utah to visit his Mom over Mothers Day weekend...Oma sure loves her little boy:)

Hyrum took Oma on a hot air balloon ride for Mothers Day.  They both said it was pretty amazing!

Hanging out at 12,000 feet:)

Julian made me a card at school for Mothers Day and he warmed me up a cinnamon roll in the microwave...he is such a thoughtful boy.

Julian's class at school learned all about the Oregon Trail.  Each student got assigned a "Wagon Team" to cross America with.  This is Julian's team.

Julian having a blast at the "Fathers and Sons" Campout with some friends.  This year Townsend and Emerson really didn't want to go.  We sort of forced them to go but I think it hurt Hyrum's feelings that his big boys didn't want to go camping with him.  It's a bummer when your kids grow up and they don't enjoy the same activities you do!

I spent a day at the Portland Zoo babysitting a few kids for some friends.  It was a perfect day for the zoo, not too crowded or too hot!

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Lincoln City with the Doxey family.  This was on the Drift Creek Falls hike.

There was a super cool suspension bridge over the waterfall!

Hyrum and I took an early morning walk on the beach at Lincoln City.

We went on a fun hike to a place called "God's Thumb."  It was sort of overcast but you could still see out across the ocean for a nice view.  It was a pretty steep hike to get to the tip of the hike but it was beautiful once you were there!

At the top of "Gods Thumb"

This really reminded me of Ireland:)

Some ladies from my ward went on a 6 mile round trip hike out to the Sauvie Island light house.  It was a perfect hike, very flat:)

Julian was Paul L. Patterson for his schools "living history museum."  Patterson was a Governor of Oregon (super boring)  I tried really hard to convince him to be Alexander Hamilton because I thought it would be awesome if he just rapped the opening scene from the musical "Hamilton"...he wasn't convinced:)
