Twins High School Graduation

This is a hard post for me because my babies have grown up and graduated from High School.  Which means they are going to leave me soon for college.  Which means we won't be together as a family of 5 under one roof forever.  Which is so hard to imagine because it is all I have known for 18 years! I am so proud of these two and how hard they worked at school to get such amazing grades.  I know they will have an amazing time at college and I know they will be wonderful adults...I'm just not ready yet to say goodbye to my babies.

The boys during "Awards Night" at their school.  They received the Chancellors Diploma as well as Honors cords and a Valedictorian medal.  They had to graduate with a 4.0 and have taken 4 AP classes during high school to earn these awards.  We are so proud of them!

With their special awards and medal.

They got to join all their Patterson Elementary School graduating Seniors for a "clap out" at Patterson.  All the kids (kinder through 6th grade) lined the halls of the school and clapped and high 5'd the Seniors as they walked down the halls...it was pretty cute!

At the graduation ceremony.  We got extremely lucky and didn't get rained on!  There were 3 graduations at this location on the same day and we were the only ones that didn't get rain!

Standing with all the other graduating Valedictorians from their class.  There were 14 Valedictorians in a class of 320 students.

Each Senior got to say their name into a microphone, which I thought was nice because then nobody had their name pronounced wrong:)  Emerson getting his diploma

In Germany for the first day of Kindergarten the family gives their little student a schuletuete...a paper cone filled with treats.  I decided to continue that tradition with for their Senior gift:)

The Seniors all went to a fun arcade/bowling/go karts/food place called "Bullwinkles" for their Senior Night.  None of the kids knew in advance where the buses were taking them so they were surprised when they got there.  The boys left around 7 at night and didn't get back until 6 the next morning.  I think they had a ton of fun with their friends!
