Overnight on the Boat

Hyrum and I took our little sailboat for our first overnighter.  We left our marina and motored down the Multnomah Channel for about 2 hours until we came to Coon Island.  There was a dock at the Island that we could tie up to.  We walked around the little island, which took only about 30 minutes to walk entirely around.  We had sandwiches for dinner and then sat in the boat and read books.  It was relaxing and fun to take our boat overnight for the first time.

Enjoying the sunset with our little boat

The sleeping quarters are very...ummm...cozy?  I have to admit it was a bit cramped sleeping on the boat but it was still fun

On our way back the next morning.  The water was glassy still and there was a bit of fog, it was a beautiful, quiet morning to be out on the boat

The fog on the hillside with some of the trees turning colors for fall:)
