Off to Virginia to help Paige Move!

Paige and her family are moving to Guam this summer. I offered to fly out to Virginia to help her for a week or so while she packed up her house and got everything ready for the movers to arrive. It was pretty crazy with all the moving parts but I am so glad I went out...I think it helped that I was able to watch the kids while she and Zach worked at the house.

While in Virginia it just happened that my niece (Joanna Porter) got married in Washington DC and so we were able to attend that as well. It was nice to see so much family!

Joanna and Winston at the wedding ceremony. They chose to get married in a cute little church so that Winston's parents (who are not LDS) were able to attend.

At the wedding reception...being silly with sisters and mom:)

The happy couple

Joanna and Winston with her Porter family outside the Washington DC LDS Temple where they were sealed.

Family lunch at Cafe Rio after the sealing!

Back at Paige's house I took the kids to their neighborhood park and Graham caught a firefly:) One of the best things about being on the East Coast during summer is the magic of fireflies!

I was helping Paige by sorting through all her dress up clothes but then the boys decided this would be the perfect time to PLAY with all the dress up clothes!  I love Cecil as the "kissing bride" 😆

I took the boys to the Living Museum where they had a pretty cool dinosaur display. These cuties are pretending to run for their lives from the ferocious T-Rex!

Cecil dressed up as an astronaut...staring at Earth from his space ship:)

When the whole house is packed up (including the kitchen) you do a lot of eating out!

A "triple stack" of DeShetler boys!

The twins had their 7th birthday while we were in the middle of the move and living at a hotel and even with all the chaos Paige remembered to decorate the doorway for them so they had a fun surprise when they woke up!

A super fun nature trail/boardwalk near the hotel we were staying at. There were hundreds of crabs running through the mud under the boardwalk, it was cool to watch them scatter when we got close.

Bowling!

Saying goodbye to their Virginia home.

Packed up and ready to head to Portland for a few weeks

That's one crazy full van heading to the airport.

Goodbye for now Virginia:)
