Our house in Corvallis...so much work!

A few months ago Hyrum and I decided to buy a house in Corvallis for the boys to live in once they started their Sophomore year at OSU.  It was a very quick decision, meaning we looked at the house on a Saturday and by that next Monday our offer had been accepted and we owned the house!  There were some things we knew we wanted to fix up before the boys moved in so we have spent a few Saturdays this summer in Corvallis fixing up the yard and house...and there is still more to do.  I know the twins appreciate all we are doing for them and I hope they love their new little home while they are away at school.

We bought a new front door, paint and new trim wood for the door.  I repainted the whole main living space from this terrible lime green color to a light blue. The Home Depot in Corvallis probably know our names because we are always there!!

Townsend cleaning all the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen

Spent lots of money in IKEA buying new rugs and furniture:)

Townsend making sure there are no cobwebs or spiders hiding in any corners:)

The house has a pear, apple, plum and cherry trees...as well as a blueberry bush!  So much fruit to clean up after!

Installing the new door

It definitely adds color to the house!

At some point we would like to redo the whole kitchen but Hyrum says that is a job for next summer.  I wish I had more photos because we spent so much time weeding and mowing and trimming and staining the fence and removing blackberry bushes and that's just the outside.  Townsend spent at least an hour vacuuming all the spider webs from the ceiling in the house and I deep cleaned the kitchen and bathroom.  It will be a very nice place for the boys to live while at college:)
