November 21-23: I made a very quick trip to Utah. My host parents from Australia were visiting their son in Utah and it is so much cheaper to visit them in Utah rather than Australia so I flew down to say hello. We did a bit of shopping, ate at some very yummy places and got to catch up on how life is going for us all. It is so crazy to think it has been 20 years since I was there as an exchange student!

November 27-29: We left town again for Thanksgiving this year. It's fun to get together with friends and have a huge dinner with a big group of people but it's also nice to get out of town for a bit of a "stay-cation". We drove up to Mt. Hood and stayed in a fantastic condo. Two bedrooms, full kitchen, nice living area but by far the best perk was the heated outdoor hot tubs. It snowed while we were there and it was so fun to sit in the warm water with snowflakes falling around. The twins took turns seeing who could stuff more snow in their swim trunks before jumping back into the warm water...boys!

It was pretty nice to have a little Thanksgiving meal without all the stress of creating a giant food bonanza!
The boys got lots of screen time. It was nice to just relax
We walked around the historic Timberline Lodge on Friday.

So nice and warm in the hot tub, this was on Friday night before the rain turned into snow:)
It's so exciting to wake up to a world covered in white snow! The boys had fun playing with their sleds and pulling each other around in the snow.

And here is shot of everyone in the hot tub with the snow. They played in the pools for a couple of hours on Saturday morning and then we packed up and headed back home.
The drive home was a bit treacherous but it was so beautiful!!!
