Emerson and some other youth from our church helped out at the local food bank. Emerson wasn't super impressed he had to wear a hair net:)
A group of ladies from church went on a "chocolate tour" of Portland. We hit three different chocolate shops, plus a yummy ice cream parlor, plus a pie shop!
We put new carpet in the entire upstairs of our house. While moving Emerson's bed so we could paint and put new carpet down we found his "garbage stash" I guess instead of throwing his candy wrappers away he always just tossed them between his bed and the wall. It was a pretty big pile!
The fabulous Katrina Doxey helping me paint before we replaced the carpet. New paint, new base boards, framed out the doors and windows! It was so much work to get the upstairs all prepped for new carpet but it sure does look a lot better!
Happy Valentines Day from my sweetie!
Katrina makes the best sugar cookies... but only once a year on valentines day! She made one for each of my kids as well but they ate them before I had a chance to get a photo:)
Hyrum and I went to see the Chieftains in concert. It was a wonderful concert with music, dance and songs. Three of the original band members are still performing in their 70's and 80's. It was such a wonderful treat to see them perform.
The boys had a day off school due to the "snow." This girl from Buffalo, NY is shaking her head!!!!
I got to fly to San Diego, California for a weekend to see my brother get married! Lori is a wonderful person and very sweet. But, the best thing about her is how happy she makes my brother. Del is seriously in love and over the moon happy and I couldn't be more happy for him!
All of us sisters managed to make it to California for the wedding. It was so fun and amazing to be all together, even for just a short weekend.
San Diego was sunny, but still pretty cold and windy in February. That didn't stop us from going to the beach!
This sweet Julian of mine turned 10 years old! He is such a wonderful boy. I love his soft heart and how he cares about others feelings. He is a bit of a jekyll and hyde because when he decides he doesn't want to do something there is no amount of coaxing that will get him to do it! But then he turns around and gives you a sweet hug and says he loves you...crazy kid! I'm very proud of how much he has grown and learned over these 10 years. I love you my Julian!
Julian had a small group of friends over to celebrate his birthday. He doesn't have a very big group of friends but he has one or two that he gets along well with. He is very different from his older brothers who always seem to have a posse of friends everywhere they go!
