During the winter break from school I took the boys and some of their friends to the new Tillamook Cheese factory on the coast. It was a really great improvement from the small building they had before. We had a yummy lunch and looked around at the people making cheese
We then went to Pacific City and climbed around on the giant sand dune. Julian and his friend Jacob even took the sled down it for a ride. It didn't work great but I think they still had fun.

Julian with his car on race day. He got 2nd place in the very first race so of course he was super mad and said he hated his car and hated the pinewood derby. He proceeded to get 1st place in all his other races, which made him happy but boy, that kid is a real sore looser!
Hyrum and I at the Leslie Odom Jr. concert. He has a wonderful voice and I enjoyed the show very much. I first learned about him because he played the part of Aaron Burr on the Hamilton soundtrack but he only did a few Hamilton songs. Still an amazing concert.
Somehow I'm old enough to have 15 year olds! These boys are doing so well in school and have many wonderful friends. I'm encouraging them to work on learning the Oregon road rules so they can get their drivers permits but so far they show very little interest. They are still constantly fighting and sometimes it's difficult to even have them in the same car for 10 minutes. I'm really hoping each year will get better and they one day become friends again. I love them both and I'm super proud of what they accomplish in school.

I took the boys and some friends to Great Wolf Lodge for a night. They had a Thursday/Friday off school for the end of the semester. They all had lots of fun.
At Great Wolf Lodge. Julian and his friend Nathan played so well together I didn't even have to get in the pool one time! That's a win for sure!
2019 is shaping up to be a great year. I love my family, I love doing fun things with my kids. I love going on adventures and concerts with Hyrum. Bye January!
